What will be The Scope for SAP ABAP in Upcoming Years?


As a new learner, you may have suspicious about SAP ABAP Language if you choose it as your professional course in the future for that here I give you points that tell you ABAP evolution.

This is a very good question and supposes you have also searched for these things on Google and got a lot of blogs and information, so I hope you are all in on these things because I am going to comment on them.

SAP is still heavily investing in ABAP development, as their core software (ECC, CRM, etc.) is written in ABAP, but it is an excellent and robust platform for developing business applications.

Java gained prominence in SAP for a number of reasons, including the acquisition of TopTire in 2001 and the subsequent appointment of Shay Agassi to the SAP Executive Board. SAP Portals is also a Java product. Also, products like SAP PI (formerly XI) have been developed in Java.

However, ABAP has been developed very specifically to process business applications and business data and is a very fulfilling role; I don't see ABAP being replaced as long as SAP is in the business of selling business software.


SAP ABAC dies, this is impossible because millions of codes are written in SAP ECC, CRM, SRM, SUS, and all. All of which currently make up about 30-40% of the company in the world.

SAP ABAP is important, but if you are a CORE ABAP developer, you have a lot of competition in the market because over 1000 consultants in the market have 8-12 years of experience. Therefore, to get out of that league you must add skills to your CVs such as WebDirect, Workflow, Group of Modules, and iDoc (if you want to write ABAP jobs, you will definitely get an answer for what I'm talking about).

Shutting down SAP CRM, currently using SAP Open Source Mobility, Hybris, all in Hana. You can also think of it from a viewpoint and explore the area.

So, if you want to be an ABAPer and want to be in this technology, add some skills like WD ABAP, Workflow, iDoc, Module Pool and don't code, just ask all the dumb questions to the functional.
