What is the SAP ABAP Latest Vesrsion ?


We know that the latest version of SAP is ECC 7.0 and I would like to know the latest version for ABAP.


There are no versions for ABAP / 4. It is embedded in any SAP R / 3 versions. Latest SAP version ECC 7.0 & GUI 6.40.

ABAP / 4 4th Generation Language. There are no version differences in ABAP. But you have added new concepts to the ABAP programming language on the run. You need to update yourself on those concepts.

ABAP Language Versions

Each ABAP program has an ABAP language version program attribute, defined internally by version ID. The version of the program specifies which language elements and which repository objects to use in the program and what syntax rules apply. The following versions are currently provided:

Language Version Meaning Version ID
Standard ABAP (Unicode) This version of ABAP is a universal basic version. This covers the entire linguistic range of ABAP that can be used in Unicode systems. Unicode checks are performed in these types of programs. This version's documentation describes all ABAP language elements. X
This version of ABAP is designed for secure implementation of improvements as part of improvement points provided by key users provided by ABAP SAP for key users. The rules apply for standard ABAP (Unicode) but only support a very limited set of language elements, and access to external repository objects is also limited. Further, improvements can be implemented in methods, and stricter syntax rules for classes automatically apply. Obsolete language items are not allowed. Static ABAP with Restricted Object In this version of ABAP, the rules apply to standard ABAP (Unicode) with restrictions on access to external repository objects. Obsolete ABAP (Non-Unicode) This version of ABAP is obsolete and is not supported in the current release. Version ID of this type of program is started. Unicode checks are not performed in these types of programs.
